On topic, I think dwarven axes are in lower number on the market. I don't know if they're more rare than crystalines but I do have the impression.
Ghostly Staffs aren't rare anymore above req 9, as they can now drop inscribable and I've gotten about 4 already, one being req 9. Req 8's are still very rare yeah, and getting the attribute you want isn't likely either. But they aren't as rare as they used to be sadly.

as a whole, i'd say crystallines are probably rarer...but because of their higher desireability in market-price, people are more likely to sell the ones they have. so, even if there are less of them; more people who own them are willing to put them on the market, due to the higher profit potential. whereas, with skins such as dwarvens and serpants (which in the opinion of many look better) arent quite as commanding in terms of value, so people who own them are less likely to sell them.
also, from what i've seen, there are probably more lower-level serpants/dwarvens than crystallines; but in terms of availability, less higher end ones (though the latter is probably due to my aforementioned reasoning).
in terms of the numbers of items i know to exist, you'd think dwarvens and serpants are rarer, which may be possible, but i do believe it is because of their lesser marketability (and thus, price) that leads them to not be on the front page of of the sellers list.

a weapon is only rare if it exists.
max dmg tribals, and ch1 sickles, do not exist.
thus, they are not the rarest.
and if you want to be all-inclusive...no conds take the cake.

No conditions aren't even possible anymore are they? So above being the most rare, they are also one of the most valuable. Akh's probably worth more than a 50' TV, GW money wise or a small car.

I'm pretty sure I saw a white Tribal axe being passed around in the Forum before...

Although, Akhilleus is telling the truth, this axe doesn't exist because is gone with it's owner.

There are actually quite a few of both floating around. The biggest diffence ive noticed is that the Crystalines trade more openly and the Dwarven trade between people that know each other and how much there actually worth.

I have a guildie that has bought and sold both high end Crystaline and Dwarven and he would never bother to post the Dwarven in game since its unlikely that anyone in the dist would be the one person that could afford it.

The crystaline on the other hand tend to be sold more ingame since more low end versions are desired by people, the high end ones trade mostly on forums or between friends.

In the future the 'Rarest' weapons will likely be Zodiac items as fewer and fewer people will be venturing to the Deep and many of those existing now will wind up on inactive accounts.

As for looks, to each there own! I find Dwarven axes ugly and Crystaline cool.

Note: I paid 5k for my Crystaline

i couldnt disagree more.
because of the laws of supply vs demand; if the demand for zodiacs ever got high enough that they warranted a high sell-price, people would merely return to the deep to farm them in order to get that high price, and in turn, drive the value back down.
this is made simple, because of the ease and speed in which they can be farmed.
i am fully confident that unless zodiac skins are discontinued entirely(which is pretty darn unlikely) they will never again see the high prices that they commanded in the first few days people were able to get access to elite ch2 mission areas.

Crystallines are way more commen to be seen wielded by players then dwarven axes are, so for rarity in amount of people having one dwarven axe will surely win.

but to determine the rarity of the crystalline is rather hard atm, due to the popularity of it.

in drop rarity i'm not sure wich is the rarest but myself i did find a dwarven axe but no crystalline (yes could all be random luck).

ow and zodiac's will never be the rarest due to the chests in the begginning area, even with 2 people and 6 heroes you should be able to reach one chest and open it.

back to topic, base on the trade I see so far, it seems Dwarven Axes is rarer. But a lot of crystallines in the markets r not perfect.

Hmm..I would say dwarvens are more rare, yes. I don't know if there is a req.8 15^50 dwarven, I would like to see a pic of one.

On a side note though, Akh did you get that unconditional serpent from a drop or did you buy it recently?
